I’m not sure that I actually have a favorite fast food restaurant. But Taco Bell is pretty good and I saw that they have an interesting ad that they put out recently. The ad is for their Doritos locos taco. But more importantly it is advertising for March 31st, a day that Taco Bell will be giving out these tacos for free via their drive through. As we all know many people are going through a lot of stress right now because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Taco Bell is giving people something to be happy about. The ad says “We’d give you hug but for a long list of reasons we can’t. But we can give you a free Doritos locos tacos.” I think this is a good look for Taco Bell because, in a time when many people are in need, it shows they care.

That’s a real interesting technique for Taco Bell to draw attention to their brand. Offering a free taco to customers who leave their homes to get food from them. Too bad I didn’t realize about this offer in time, definitely a missed opportunity. The commercial is simple and the humor is good, poking fun at the situation we’re all in. Also “Let our drive-thru help you get through” is a fantastic slogan for a fast food restaurant to have right now.
